Unique stay in the forest
We call it huisje Kakelbont, mainly because of the many colors that greet you inside. It's a lovely summer cottage that we've equipped with a few comforts.
There are wonderfully warm showers, a wood stove, internet, two bicycles, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.
It's definitely a great place in spring and autumn to enjoy the surroundings , the forest, the terrace, and
—if she's out— the sun. There are two small bedrooms, each with a toilet and shower: one with a double bed and one with two single beds.

The cottage is located in a vast nature reserve, surrounded by greenery with a wide range of hiking and cycling routes.
Here you can immerse yourself in the peace and quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This natural refuge offers an exceptional opportunity to explore. The beautiful tree-lined trails lead you along paths and through stunning and diverse forests.
Right after stepping outside the cottage, you enter the forest.
And then there are the beavers, the hidden inhabitants of this area. With patience, a keen eye, and of course a bit of luck, you may observe them skillfully building their dams and guarding their territory.
The other forest dwellers are just as fascinating, such as the red deer, the fox, the buzzard, the wild boar, the roe deer, etc.
In the village of Zutendaal, there are many easily accessible shops, dining options, and also a swimming pool. Nearby, you'll find the watchtower and the barefoot path named 'Lieteberg'.
